The Union Gospel Mission has some exciting news to share with you! Of course you know that along with exciting news, also comes the opportunity for folks to get involved with what God is doing in changing lives.

Just behind our existing facilities is a small piece of land, about ½ acre, that we have been asking God to give us for several years. The past few years it has been used for drug use and squatters. Just last week, we were able to finalize the deal and close on that property. Praise the Lord! The property currently has two single-wide mobile homes that have been condemned. We are only allowed to replace those mobile homes with two more mobile homes, by code.

This property will allow us to expand our operations while also being able to closely monitor and control access to and from the property. BUT, we do need some help!  The area and the existing mobile homes have been completely trashed. While we can begin “clean up”, we cannot begin demolition until we have replacement homes ready to go in. So here is what we are needing:

• Two Single-Wide mobile homes

• Having these mobile homes set in place and hooked up

• Volunteers to work with our guys to clean up

• Equipment - skid steer, bobcat, or some other equipment with a bucket and/or a grapple

• Dumpster service, both for the clean up and eventually to put the demolished mobile homes in to.

• Plumbers, electricians, and other skilled craftsmen to help get the replacement mobile homes ready for occupancy.

• Small bulldozer/trackhoe for possible dirt work to get the replacement homes in place.

Obviously we will need a few financial resources, buying “new” mobile homes would be cost prohibitive but we serve a big God! If you would like to help or if you have contacts with folks who could help supply any of the things listed above, please reach out to us!
