5th Annual Banboche
Come together to celebrate during JAE's annual Banboche!
We have made the difficult decision to switch to a virtual format for the 5th Annual Banboche on January 22, 2022.
In keeping with our commitment to healing and keeping our community safe through these challenging times, combined with the current rise in COVID-19 cases in Greater Boston and the advice of our health advisors, we believe it is in the best interest of public health to host Banboche virtually this year. We will honor all tickets on January 22, 2022 for this virtual event. If you have already purchased your tickets, we will be reaching out over email with Zoom access information. If you have not already purchased your ticket, register below!
JAE will also be hosting the Banboche Marketplace on Instagram Live for the first time ever on Jan 20 and 21.
This year's theme is Kiltirèl Conexiones and the company performance will bring together Jean Appolon’s Haitian folkloric roots with Gerardina Halloran’s Dominican heritage. Kiltirèl Conexiones, or Cultural Connections in Haitian Kreyol and Spanish, is Jean Appolon Expressions’ (JAE) latest effort to highlight and celebrate the similarities between Haitian and Dominican people, cultures, and historic experiences.
