I Care YOU Matter
The Family Fun Day
Join us for Suicide Prevention Awareness as we host a day full of fun, entertainment, and resources. In the years past, this event has connected people with organizations that can help them to navigate through everyday life challenges. Now more than ever people need services that can help them to be successful. You can be a vendor or make a donation to contribute to this event. We thank you in advance.
Reported in September of 2020 there was a 60% jump in suicide rates for young Americans. In Oklahoma, suicide and drug overdose are among the top causes of death that may have been avoided with proper treatment. This year in collaboration with Rose State College and Spring Eternal, we will host our 3rd “I Care: You Matter” Family Fun Day. This event will be held on September 18, 2021; from 10 am to 3 pm at Rose State College. This day is designed to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and substance abuse services. Since September is National Suicide Prevention Month, we will also use this event as a fundraiser so that we can be sure that no one is denied treatment due to their inability to pay. We are reaching out to your organization requesting that you join us in this campaign by either providing a donation and/or setting up a vendor table at the event. If you choose to donate without setting up a booth, we will be happy to provide you/your company with a donation letter. Our goal is to not only raise awareness but to increase funding for the implementation of pro-bono prevention and intervention services to an underserved population. Vendor tables are $75 ($50 non-profit rate). That fee will include 1 table and 2 chairs. You can share information about your organization as well as your support to the cause. You may also choose to provide items for the bags that will be given away to support this event. The event is free to the public and will include several guest speakers, a panel discussion (questions from the audience) on topics of mental health and substance abuse, face painting, a moon bounce, performances, prizes, and much more.
