COVID-19 Impact Fund
One time donation to help us overcome the economic impacts of COVID-19.
We are so grateful to all of our donors and supporters. The world wide pandemic has affected us all. During the past 15 months each of us in our own way have faced unprecedented fears, stresses, and anxieties while seeking ways to overcome the impact to our lives of COVID-19. As the infection rate has decreased in many areas in the U.S., and the number of individuals vaccinated is on the rise, we remain hopeful for the future of our work here and in Uganda. But as we reflect on the financial impact caused by COVID-19 this past year, we find ourselves feeling a little overwhelmed.
- Four major speaking events were canceled including two Key Club state conventions, one Circle-K Club state convention, and one Builders Club presentation at a local Middle School. As a result, we missed the opportunity to share our story with hundreds of new members who typically choose AIDSpirit as their annual fundraising project. These combined events generate approximately $10,000 in annual donations.
- Our annual “Mother of All Garage Sales” event (over a decade old), was also canceled causing an additional loss of $8,000 plus.
- Other major fundraising events at the Art House Cinema and the Yellowstone Cellars and Winery were canceled as well.
- And if that were not enough, our sustainability farming projects in partnership with Tender Mercies in Uganda took a major hit as well causing the loss of income from our corn, banana, and pineapple sales due to COVID-19 lockdowns preventing us from taking our crops to market.
Help us offset the fundraising losses we've endured this past year with a one time contribution. We greatly appreciate your additional support!
