Reading is fundamental to success in life. The students attending the Washington Youth Academy were former high school drop outs. Upon entry, their reading level is at the 5th grade level. Statistics show that reading improvement increases the potential for high school completion and success after high school. The current library available to these students are from dated, donated books. They need a better option. This project will purchase e-readers and digital library subscriptions to give them the best tools to improve their potential.
