Donation Drive
Loyal Friends & Supporters, I have recently reconnected with a friend, Neyu Godwon Nyan, who resides in Kaduna, Nigeria. After seeing some of The Thankful Ones recent posts, Godwin reached out to me for some fundraising advice to help underprivileged children (including orphans, foster, and adopted children) in his hometown. After many back and forth IM chats, I offered to utilize TTO’s platform to help him achieve his goal of donations in the form of goods for these children.
His specific requests: shoes, socks, underwear, t-shirts, shorts, pants, feminine products, toiletries, soccer balls, basketballs, basketball nets.
Meet Stanley ⚽️. As you can see in this pic from a video Godwin sent me, these children are happy children. They have very little, but they are devout in their faith, happy to be alive, and happy to have what they have. They wear “bathroom slippers” to play outside as their access to shoes is limited. They have very limited access to many things we take for granted here in US. The things mentioned above.
How this will work: I will accept any donations and coordinate with Godwin’s Mom here in Sugar Land to deliver care package(s) to Godwin in Kaduna. Once received, Godwin, working hand-in-hand with local Kaduna charitable organizations, will distribute to the children in need. A small contribution will go a long way. 100% of the money raised, gift cards, and specific goods received will go to this cause. Money will not be sent, only goods for children of all ages and gender.
If you are feeling charitable and would like to contribute there a multiple ways to do so. Donate to this post (once I make it available). Donate on our website https://www.thethankfulones.org/donate-now.html and comment “Kaduna Kids” or if you buy goods/gift cards please IM me and we can establish a drop off / pickup place.
Thank you all in advance for your support for this cause, and remember to be #thankful for what you have. #TheThankfulOnes ✌️
