ABOUT TEAM ARKANSAS
Special Olympics Arkansas will be a 145 member team made up of 99 athletes and Unified Partners, and 46 coaches, and 6 delegation support staff who will compete in twelve sports and to youth leadership events at the Games, including Interscholastic unified basketball, unified softball, unified soccer, basketball, bocce, bowling, swimming, tennis, powerlifting, track and field, unified golf, standup paddleboard, and youth leadership experience, and U.S. Ambassador caucus. ABOUT SPECIAL OLYMPICS USA GAMES
The
2022 Special Olympics USA Games will be held in Orlando, Florida June 5-12,
2022. More than 4,000 athletes and coaches from all 50 states and the
District of Columbia will compete in 19 Olympic-type team and individual
sports.
They’ll be cheered on by the support of tens of thousands of volunteers and spectators. These fierce and courageous competitors will demonstrate the power of the human spirit and use sport to showcase the limitless talents of people with intellectual disabilities. They will inspire the city and the country to embrace the ideals of diversity, acceptance and inclusion, creating more unified communities.
