Invest in our LGBTQ Future


Let's face it.


LGBTQIA+ students have typically had a difficult time achieving equal footing with other students.  Oppression, bullying, embarrassment, and isolation are only some of the issues that our kids have had to overcome in their road of education.  over 30 years ago, PFLAG New Orleans knew there was a need for scholarships to help our LGBT youth achieve their educational dreams and created one of the first LGBT Scholarship programs in this country. 


Thanks to donors like you, half a million dollars in scholarships has been given away to worthy scholars selected by a panel of professionals and awarded in the annual Sandra Pailet Memorial Scholarship Reception (held in May).


The scholarship program can only continue with your help--the help of generous donors that want to give back to the local LGBT community and invest in our scholars.
