Rotary District 7680 Kentucky Tornado Relief
Rotarians are People of Action
Residents of Kentucky and the surrounding states are suffering from the devastation left behind by the recent tornados & storms on December 10th & 11th.
Rotarians are People of Action.
Throughout the world in disaster recovery situations, our compassion and commitment to service are a significant part of relief efforts.
Right here, right now, your help is needed here.
The tornado that touched down in Kentucky has devastated communities in 18 counties in Rotary District 6710. The loss of life in many small towns, such as Dawson Springs and Mayfield, is heartbreaking, and survivors have lost their communities, their homes and livelihoods. In many areas, there is limited electricity, resources for food, gasoline and supplies and medical services.
Now more than ever is the time for us to live our hashtag, #Rotary Responds.
IT'S HARD TO IMAGINE THE DESTRUCTION CAUSED BY THE TORNADO, IT'S NOT HARD TO HELP!
In response to the devastation caused by the recent storms in Kentucky, District 7680 has set up a District 6710 Disaster Recovery Fund to help support financially the relief efforts.
The fund is managed by Mecklenburg County South Rotary Foundation, a 501(c)3, #47-4681187
in cooperation with District 7680 Disaster Relief Committee
Updates on fund(s) distribution will be posted on the Updates page.
Additional plans are being developed as to how a District 7680 Rotarian or Club(s) can help in Kentucky’s time of need with District 6710 Governor Gail Story.
The immediate needs can be solved by a monetary donation. This can help provide the basics for individuals.
