Bella age 18 was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia in 2018 and has now relapsed again. She recently has been in the hospital for four days for T-cells collections. While Bella was in the hospital she was seen by a neurologist and had an MRI performed, due to her legs weakness and unable to even use the walker for help walking like before. The neurosurgeon came the next day and told me that Bella has a very serious compressed spinal cord which it happens a lot with Down syndrome kids. He told me that surgery is the only way to help decompress it but first he has to prioritize her ALL and start treating her relapsed leukemia right now. He temporarily prescribed and a neck brace for her and suggested to wear 24/7 to buy times.
The family’s main income is with IHSS but when she is in the hospital then the mom can’t get paid even though she is still by her daughter’s side taking care of her, as Bella won’t let anyone comer near her. Please consider donating any amount to help this family for the next few months get over this hurdle. MTF has helped them in 2018 and we will help them again. Donations for food, gas, household products, mortgage payment and utilities are the need.
