Blue's Board & Train Fundraiser

Blue, a dog who is as loyal as they come, and is quite the cuddler once he learns to trust you. He has mastered sitting on command and is very treat motivated. Unfortunately, due to a stressful environment, some dogs develop resource guarding issues, Blue included. Due to our increased capacity at our shelter, we had to start splitting many of our dog kennels in half in order to house more homeless dogs. This seems to be what sparked Blue's resource guarding. You tend to see this behavior in shelter dogs due to the small space that they get to call home. They don't have very much, so what they do have, they want to protect. For many dogs, once they spend time in a loving home they will no longer feel the need to do this. We want to make Blue's adoption as successful as possible so we are raising money so that when we find Blue's champion, his furever home, we can send Blue and his adopter to board and train to learn how to specifically train dogs who have resource guarding issues.
