Miles for Cystic Fibrosis exists  to encourage the kind of physically active lifestyle that can lengthen and strengthen lives and to help CF families in need.  We honor all those with CF for their marathon-like efforts every day simply to maintain health.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening disease that affects 30,000 people in the United States.  People with CF must battle many serious symptoms, including difficulty in breathing and digesting food.

The money we raise is used to help local CF families who need emergency financial assistance because of the high cost of caring for the disease. In response to COVID-19, Miles for CF started the Critical Needs Initiative to keep food on the table and utilities on for CF families who lost income because of the pandemic. Since 2020, M4CF provided more than $83,715 in assistance to hardworking CF families in 15 states affected financially by the COVID-19 economy. Over $40,000 in assistance was given to patients from the Augusta University CF Care Centers and their households.

Miles for CF encourages children and adults with cystic fibrosis to be active and exercise to benefit both physical and mental health. The M4CF BreatheStrong exercise grant program provides funding for lessons, memberships, activities, and equipment so that CF fighters can participate in the healthy physical activity of their choice. In 2020, more than 65 kids and adults with CF received M4CF BreatheStrong exercise grants to help them stay active for longer, stronger lives.

65 Roses is a child's mispronunciation of cystic fibrosis.  We call our friends who run and fundraise with us "Team 65ROSES."  Be part of Team 65ROSES, make a donation or ask your friends and family to donate in support of your running the Augusta University Half Marathon, 10K and 5K, and help give children and adults living ogive children and adults living with cystic fibrosis longer, stronger lives.
