Karla Wolfinger Fund
Stroke

Karla is an
81 year old mother of six, grandmother of eight and great grandmother of
six. She is the co-founder of Community
Benefit Tree. After 17 years of helping
families struggling with a medical crisis, Karla suffered her own. On May 4th Karla suffered a
massive stroke where she spent two months in the hospital. She was moved 10 different times to different
facilities. She suffered a bad infection
after having a feeding tube put in. She
had surgery to remove the infected area’s and had to wear a wound vac for over
a month. She was finally able to go home
on July 8th and was progressing very well with her therapies until
she suffered another stroke on October 12th. This stroke left her back to square one with
her therapies. Everyday is a struggle
but with prayers and the right treatment, we are trusting she will regain her
independence. Karla’s story is not over
yet. Your financial help will assist her
with paying for therapies, caregivers and medical bills.
