We thought it would be fun to have a friendly competition on Giving Tuesday. We would like to see how many of our supporters consider themselves 'cat people' vs 'dog people'.

Funds raised for dogs will go towards our new kennel facility with attached outdoor runs like the one pictured here.

Niagra's Adoption Story & Happy Tail:
Niagra was found as a stray with an injured leg and severely malnourished. When she was reported, The Floyd County Humane Society was willing to step in and assist with her care. Unfortunately, the vets discovered that her leg was broken in two places, and the only way to correct the break would be with surgery. Despite all the pain she must have been in, she was the most snuggly purring machine. In the weeks before her surgery, Niagra sadly developed a severe stomach issue due to an extremely rare parasite. The vets and volunteers at the Humane Society went above and beyond to diagnose her and nurse her back to health. I am so grateful to each and every person who played a part in saving her life. She has brought so much happiness to our lives ❤️ It's been a blessing to see her personality emerge and especially to see her have the chance to be an energetic, crazy kitten. She has quickly become queen of our household and we wouldn't want it any other way! ❤️
