2021 End-Of-Year Giving Campaign
Reduce, Reuse, BICYCLE!

Greetings Friends,
This year 718 donated bikes were cycled back into the community and diverted from the waste stream. We were also able to place a down payment on our forever home at 1222 South Gilbert Court through careful saving over the past fifteen years. Our small and mighty staff have orchestrated programs all year that have engaged nearly 100 volunteers who logged 4,200 hours in 2021. Bike Librarian volunteers have been busy moving, building, constructing, refurbishing bikes, and serving Johnson County residents.
Many of our programs are designed to create opportunities for low-income children, women, and folks who are underrepresented in the bike community. 1222 S. Gilbert Court will help us to expand services -- some of which generate revenue, while others are provided free of charge. We graciously ask for support and partnership in building a sustainable and socially just community by getting more people on bicycles.
In 2022 the Bike Library will launch a Capital Campaign. Our hope is to pay off our loan with Hills Bank on or before the maturity date of February 5th, 2026.
Please help us in generating excitement for our brick-and-mortar forever home that will serve the community for years to come. Our goal is to raise $10K during this end of year giving season. With this support we will be able to kickstart our Capital Campaign in 2022. All donations of $150 or more will receive our annual limited edition letterpress poster. You can view it in the Gallery in the menu.
These funds will go towards building a workspace from which bicyclists of all skill levels and backgrounds, especially new cyclists, can thrive in their biking aspiration, foster climate action, make positive social change, and empower kids to realize that biking to school is indeed an option.
In Unity,
Audrey Wiedemeier
Executive Director
