Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley! Volunteers interested in serving club members as tutors, mentors, coaches, or general volunteers must first submit payment of a $20 background check fee and complete all information on the volunteer application in its entirety.

After submitting payment, volunteers will receive a confirmation email along with additional steps to take regarding to complete the volunteer orientation and training. A Boys & Girls Club team member will email you the results of your background check within 48-72 hours after submitting payment. Should you have any questions regarding volunteer opportunities or the process to become a registered volunteer, please contact a Boys & Girls Club of the Brazos Valley team member at 979-822-7516.

For COURT APPOINTED COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS, MUST ALSO complete this registration and submit background check fee.

In addition, for court appointed service hours the following steps must be completed:

Attend a mandatory service orientation offered on Tuesdays at 5:30pm (August-May) or at 3:00pm (June & July) at the Boys & Girls Club Bryan Campus.
After completing the mandatory orientation, community service hours can be completed on a first come, first serve basis on Monday-Friday from 3:00pm-8:00pm. Limit 5 spots per day.

Volunteer Application & Background Check Payment

Steps to becoming a registered and approved volunteer with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley:

Step 1: Register Online & Submit $20 Background Check Fee payment

Step 2: Clear Background Check

A Boys & Girls Club team member will email you the results of your background check within 2-3 business days following payment of fee,

Step 3: Complete your Volunteer Orientation & Risk Management Training

Volunteer Orientation is hosted weekly at the Newman-Adam Bryan Campus at 1910 Beck Street, Bryan. This training includes Risk Management & Mandatory Reporter Training required by Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Information about volunteer orientation training will be emailed to you after your background check is completed.

Step 4: Sign Up to Volunteer

After clearing a background check and completing your orientation, a link will be emailed to you to sign up for volunteer shifts that best suit your schedule.

Additional Notes:

*If you are volunteering to meet a program or organization requirement, you must apply to volunteer two weeks prior to the program requirement deadline.
