ABOUT Save More Kids, Inc.

Save More Kids (SMK) is an 501(c)3 and International NGO that has impacted thousands children in the Gbarnga, Liberia area for over ten years. SMK’s programs are focused on the needs of children who have suffered the effects of decades of civil war, sexual abuse, abandonment, and child labor. We have four main initiatives. The CCH Children’s home provides mentoring and education to parentless children. SMK’s expertise in education is unprecedented; students who grew up in the home are now entering college and vocational programs. The Period Project has provided personal hygiene and reproductive health education for hundreds of girls and women. This program is focused on mentoring girls and furnishes them with sanitary products, helping them to stay in school. We are addressing food insecurity and creating vocational opportunities with our Agricultural Impact Project, which grows rice and produce for the home and affordable food for the local community. Finally, the Catching Light Initiative is now online, delivering dependable solar electricity to the home and farm, along with vocational training for our young adults. SMK has the infrastructure and social cohesiveness in the community, along with programs that are designed to change the course of the future of Liberia’s youth.
