OTR staged more than 20 full theatrical productions under Alice Spivak's direction between 2012 -2019.  Since her sudden passing in 2020 during COVID, the company has devoted itself to keeping alive her memory and legacy - coming together to complete the work begun by Spivak, and to create new works of theater in her honor. OTR’s ongoing mission is to continue the philosophy of Alice Spivak’s work and her approach to theater and acting. An approach that is organic and places a real focus on the material.

 

Your donation makes it possible for us to produce our 2023 season: two festivals, on in the Spring and one in the Fall. OTR's Spring Festival will feature 8 productions including 2 new full length plays, 2 original short plays, our first ever Scene Study showcase, and will feature more than 40 ensemble members and scene study members!


Your generosity enables us to share her work in educational spaces through workshops and scene study, allowing more actors to learn through Alice Spivak’s process and to grow their craft in a supportive community. With your support, we are able to honor Alice, to sustain her living legacy, and share it with generations to come.
