Sabre Alumni Sending Women to College 2022
Join
other Sabre Alums and help a woman change her life by paying for her college
through Empowering Women as Leaders!
EWL
provides nontraditional age (23+) women in financial need the opportunity to
re-invent their lives through scholarship, mentoring, and access to a network
of professionals. The women we support are
typically overcoming major life challenges such as divorce, abuse,
homeless. We are also changing the lives of generations to come! Many of our recipients have children and their
children are now saying they are going to college because they saw their Mom do
it.
After 17
years, EWL has helped over 120 women attend college and have a fresh start to
re-invent their lives. In celebration of this achievement, Texas Woman's
University awarded EWL with a Recognition Service Award which outlines EWL’s
success. What does that success look like?
- EWL has provided over $350,000 in
scholarships to Texas Woman's University
- EWL program has a 85% graduation
rate
- Our recipients graduate with an
average GPA of 3.5
In
2020, Sabre Alums worked together to establish an annual EWL Scholarship Fund
to support other women in their journey to grow and establish their careers. Last year the Sabre Alums raised $3000 which
provided 3 women with an EWL semester scholarship.
This
year, the goal is to raise $5000 to expand the impact of Sabre Alums in giving
back and helping other women. Your
donation will greatly help us reach our 2021 Sabre Alumni Scholarship goal.
You can
also sign up to be a fundraiser and spread the word to your Sabre network about
this important campaign. The more fundraising team leads we have working
alongside other Sabre friends the more money we will raise and the bigger
impact we will have in helping women reinvent their lives.
Every
single dollar and every single donation helps us reach the goal. Big or small, we appreciate them all!
With
great appreciation,
