What book are you reading? Will you list the title on the Metro East Literacy Project Virtual Bookshelf? The Metro East Literacy Project (MELP) is raising money to build avid, lifelong readers in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. In some sections of our population, there is a serious reading crisis with functional illiteracy and book deserts. MELP is raising awareness and creating opportunities to help improve reading skills within the community.
Make a donation of $5 minimum, plus $2 for the cover image, of a favorite book such as “Where the Wild Things Are,” “Catcher in the Rye,” “The Warmth of Other Suns," or some other favorite or inspirational book. And, if you are an author, you should list your own book! Let’s fill up the Metro East Literacy Project Virtual Bookshelf with your book titles.
