Best Medicine Rep presents Buster Keaton's silent masterpiece The General with live, original piano accompaniment by Joe Morra and commentary by Stan Levin. Originally released in 1927, The General is often named as one of the 10 greatest films of all time. Keaton, serving as both actor and director, plays the role of Johnny Gray, an engineer who must rescue both his train and his girl from behind enemy lines during the American Civil War. It's a great locomotive chase with hilarious jokes, containing the most expensive single shot in the history of silent film!
Location: Best Medicine Rep is located on the lower level of Lakeforest Mall (701 Russell Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD). Park outside of the Yellow Sun entrance, between Macy's and where Silver Diner used to be.
