STRIKEOUT THE STIGMA

Tyler Matzek of the Atlanta Braves and the Athletes Against Anxiety and Depression Foundation have partnered together to STRIKEOUT THE STIGMA of Mental Health!
Tyler will be donating $15 per strikeout recorded by any Atlanta Braves Relief Pitcher during the 2023 MLB Season to help AAAD provide Mental Health Resources like FREE THERAPY to those in need. Tyler will not be pitching in the 2023 Season due to injury but he is still dedicated to being the change for Mental Health!
The Athletes Against Anxiety and Depression Foundation was founded in 2017 with one goal in mind: Rid the Stigma attached to Mental Health and give people permission to embrace 100% of who they are.
AAAD’s Founder China McCarney was a professional pitcher who dealt with Panic Attacks during his career. He fought to hide his Mental Health struggles which led to depression and he felt alone and that he had nowhere to turn. After 6 years of struggling in silence, China reached out for help and started Therapy. After being helped tremendously by Therapy, China vowed that he would fight to make sure people didn’t have to battle alone in silence. AAAD was born and people have been getting resources like FREE THERAPY ever since.
Tyler Matzek’s commitment to helping people is absolutely incredible! You can get involved with STRIKEOUT THE STIGMA by pledging a donation for every Strikeout that the Braves Relief Pitchers record in the 2023 MLB Season. AAAD will be posting updates throughout the season on how many strikeouts Tyler has recorded and where you can donate towards the final goal.
Thank you to Tyler and to all of you for helping AAAD continue to #BeTheChange for Mental Health!
