April is “World Autism Month” beginning with United Nations-sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. Throughout the month, we focus on sharing stories and providing opportunities to increase understanding and acceptance of people with autism, fostering worldwide support. This leads me to why I am reaching out to you and your branches in Kansas.
This April 29th, we are working with banks across the State of Kansas to spread awareness and raise funds with IBT’s Kansas Awareness Dress Down (or Up) day. It should be mentioned that funds raised by your bank will stay local. Because autism affects children and families in rural areas at the same rate as urban areas (where help is more readily accessible), we, at IBT, pride ourselves on being “Kansans helping Kansans” and we know that is important to you.
That being mentioned, we are looking for banks to participate on April 29th by asking for their team members to donate $5 to IBT and if they donate, they can dress down (jeans or t-shirts) or dress up based on a branch-wide theme! We can provide you with a secured website to collect donations or you can collect cash and then present it to us on your bank's behalf! We would love multiple branches in your banks to participate so feel free to share.
We will provide a website (if wanted) and a digital award for each participant. We will also announce all banks on our social media and promote all the good you do for your community!
If you are interested in participating or have more questions, feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] or call me at 217-714-8245.
