Imagine it this way. Whatever city you currently live in, think of 3 areas of town that would take you about 30-45 minutes to drive to in steady traffic. For me, living in Franklin, Tennessee, I'm about 35 minutes to Downtown Nashville, 45 minutes to Donelson and 30 minutes to Spring Hill.
Now - imagine that you needed to drive those 3 routes almost daily.
The house you see pictured in this campaign is our hub house - it is lovingly known as "The Bethel House". Of the 4 orphanage locations in Zimbabwe, this is the critical one for 3 reasons.
- Most crucial - it is walking distance to the school that we oversee. Our orphanage director founded a school in this neighborhood several years ago and it has grown to be recognized as an International School. Again - it is walking distance.
- The school mentioned in #1 is also the location of our offices. The orphanage director conducts all of her daily duties from this office and everything crucial to her operations are stored there.
- The Bethel House is the home to 20 babies/toddlers and 4-6 of the upper school children.
Beautiful Feet Global Outreach, Inc. has been asked to save this house and we have agreed under the counsel of the Holy Spirit that we are to take on this task. And it is a big one for us.
Why? This house is for sale because the owner that we've been leasing from needs the money. If we do not purchase the home - we stand to lose 25 children and the school that educates our own children as well as dozens others in the community. The orphanage director loses her offices ... and there is no plan B. Most importantly of all is the loss of 25 children. They would be re-routed by social welfare and their safety couldn't be guaranteed. There are some nice orphanages in town and some terrible ones. We wouldn't get to choose.
The price of the house is $55,000.00 US Dollars. But the value far exceeds this price ... it is being offered to us at a bargain but only if we can act swiftly. The owner needs the money very quickly and is willing to offer this discount in exchange for a swift transaction.
While we are at it - even though the home purchase is our top priority, we'd love to fund the repair of 3 vehicles and we would also love to repair one of the other houses that is falling apart. Our goal is to raise $100k, but the first $55k will go to the purchase of The Bethel House.
We've raised $7k so far. Please join us in funding the next $48,000.00
This is our largest project to date and in the past we have never achieved such a steep goal. For reference - it took us 16 months to raise $16k for the Zim Chicken Project - so we are seeking a powerful movement of God through His Holy Spirit to bring our partners for this project. It won't be easy - but we believe.
God bless you in abundance of joy and a deep well of His everlasting peace.
My deepest regards,
Founder / Executive Director
