Help KARA Teach At-Risk Youth Financial Literacy
Sponsor participation today!
Kids At Risk Action is proud to support our latest grassroots initiative: FinLit is now Minnesota's only financial literacy program in Minnesota designed to serve at-risk youth outside of the classroom for a full year!
We are partnered with the community-advocacy Sunrise Banks Credit Builder Program and multiple service providers to deliver essential skills on responsible earning, saving, and spending.
Monthly peer group discussions address personal issues and trauma and practical financial tools, and also offer a total of $1,250 grant seed funding per participant. These peer groups, led by a trauma-informed financial coach, give participants the critical information and support that they need to live a productive life.
KARA's program is improving credit scores, raising earning potential, teaching wealth-building skills, and helping to solve the issues common to disadvantaged youth.
This campaign will fund two full groups through our partnership with Foster Advocates!
All Flipcause program donations go directly to FinLit participants.
And you can be part of it!
KARA is seeking sponsors of all levels to support these youth on their journey to take control of their finances and our future. When you sign up to sponsor participation in FinLit, you:
- Directly improve the quality of life for foster, adopted, and at-risk youth.
- Contribute to training underserved youth in self-sufficiency and community participation.
- Boost our national economy! The United States loses an estimated $40 Billion per year when we fail to prepare foster youth for adulthood.
