Our goal is to start serving 10-30 kids on a monthly basis predicated on funding. We estimate each birthday party will cost a minimum of $100. Upon each birthday’s arrival, the POOF & Partners Team will prepare a birthday party package (presents, goodies, party favors, birthday cake, etc.) to be delivered to the birthday child’s home in proper celebration style.

WHY THIS PROGRAM IS IMPORTANT:

Statistically, there are 17.9% of families in OC are single-parent households. Children growing up in single-parent families typically do not have the same economic or human resources available as those growing up in two-parent families. Compared with children in married-couple families, children raised in single-parent households are more likely to drop out of school, to have or cause a teen pregnancy, and to experience a divorce in adulthood.

The pandemic has brought a whole other layer of obstacles on top of these facts. Birthdays become overlooked, and kids don’t get celebrated because essential resources have to be prioritized in a household that is economically disadvantaged. We want to help change this.
