Drew was a bright light in our community and such an example of genuine and unconditional love, acceptance, joy, friendship, and courage. He filled our hearts, made our lives better, and inspired our work. We grieve his passing but resolve to let his light continue to shine in all that we do.
The Hemlock family has been one of the solid rocks in the foundation our organization has been built on, with a mission to reach for a brighter future for our loved ones with Glut1. From the beginning, there hasn't been a gathering they haven't attended, a project they haven't rolled up their sleeves to help with and support, or a family they haven't welcomed with open arms, a smile, and words of encouragement and advice. They've blazed many trails and shown us how to embrace life - even amid challenges - and taught us to always try to find some sunshine. Most importantly, they gave us Drew.
