Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center has a storied history in the clinical management of individuals with brain injury. The well-known Rancho Levels of Cognitive Function were developed during the 1970s at our facility, and healthcare professionals from around the world utilize this scale as a guideline when working with individuals with brain injury. Interprofessional team collaboration and use of evidence-based medicine to provide optimal, patient-centered care will be at the core of this one day conference. Case presentations, didactic lecture, and discussion will be utilized to provide a comprehensive approach in the clinical management of the individual with brain injury. A diverse array of topics will be covered, ranging from broader issues such as “Neurosurgical Management of TBI in a Safety Net Hospital” to more specific effects and outcomes following brain injury including but not limited to: Cranioplasty, Cognitive Rehabilitation, Vestibular Rehabilitation, and Neuro Optometry.
