2.27.22 - Comfort Kits for Patient Families
Assemble with Love
Supporting a child experiencing illness can be incredibly stressful and traumatic, especially when they are in the hospital. Join us as we assemble comfort kits for parents of patients at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. These kits will contain various self-care items and hand-made cards with messages of hope and support.
This is an engaging opportunity for children and families to learn about a vital local healthcare organization as well as as well as the traumatic effects of caring for ill loved ones and age-appropriate ways to cope with those effects. This event will be fun and accessible for everyone, especially young minds and eager hearts. Let's exercise our compassion muscle and support families in need of some extra comfort.
