UNTAPPED 2022: #BLACKPHENOMENON
Join us on Thursday, October 20th for UNTAPPED: Powering the Possibilities for a New Generation of Black Entrepreneurs, an evening celebrating our #GMEChangers and commemorating six years of TGME programming. This cultural experience will be hosted at 167 Green Street overlooking Fulton Market, featuring food & cocktails catered by local restaurant group, Lettuce Entertain You.
This year's event will showcase art installations by the #BlackPhenomenon, Maxwell Emcays, as well as live music & a student showcase. To keep the party going, UNTAPPED guests will also receive access to our exclusive after party at Soho House Chicago.
As Gray Matter celebrates six years of impact in our community, we're going big with our fundraising goal. Help us raise $150,000 so we can continue curating educational experiences and changing the lives of youth throughout Chicago.

About the Exhibit:
Maxwell Emcays has created 6 pieces of artwork that feature TGME alumni, entitled Innovation: Era of Enlightenment. The pieces celebrate and promote innovation in the technology sector as it pertains to young Black talent. Maxwell seeks to bring attention to those African Americans in the tech space while inspiring future young talent.
About the Artist:
Maxwell Emcays is an accomplished award-winning artist that has used art activism to visualize the struggles of the suppressed and amplify the voices of the unheard. Emcays’ public and private artwork has been seen in Gallery Guichard, The DuSable Museum, and Miami Art Basel as well as private collections and highlighted on NBC’s “Making a Difference”.

As organizers of UNTAPPED, we’re committed to maintaining a healthy atmosphere for all participants and partners. To help maintain a healthy environment and operations we will be verifying that all attendees are fully vaccinated and/or have a negative covid test within 24 hours of the event. Full vaccination is defined as having received your last vaccine at least 14 days prior to the event.
