Annual Scholarship Program
The Brothers of the Lambda Alpha Alpha Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and Omega Uplifts Foundation provides scholarships and award-winning programs empowering disenfranchised families of Palm Beach County, Florida. Your support will help to impact families and improve our community as a whole. Scholarship applicants are required to interview and write an essay that is graded to select the top quality applications.
Donations:
Our scholarships, programs and events are all funded by donations and grants. Every cent counts. Please make your contribution, as all proceeds work to develop empowering programming to support the youth and families of Palm Beach County.
We truly need your help this year in order to provide scholarships for college bound high school seniors as covid19 has interrupted our normal operations. Thank you in advance for your continued support of this scholarship fundraising event.
A little history
Over the past 40 years, The Lambda Alpha Alpha chapter of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the Omega Uplifts Foundation, Inc. (Formerly Questers Community Service Fund, Inc.) has awarded over $237,775.00 in direct scholarship dollars to over 272 local high school students and mentored numerous youth annually in our Lamplighters Club, which provides year-round positive leadership development activities.
The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University on November 17, 1911. The fraternity is committed to four cardinal principals: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. The motto of this great fraternity is “Friendship is Essential to the Soul”. The Lambda Alpha Alpha chapter of the fraternity was established on May 18, 1980. This local chapter provides service to the Palm Beach County Community and sponsors a variety of events such as Toys for Tots, Thanksgiving Basket, MLK Track and Field, Talent Hunt, Essay Contest, Achievement Week Program, Delray Beach Street Cleanup, Lamplighters and High School Scholarships.
