November Medical Mission
Dear Friends and Family,
This is my true calling…and my part in giving back.
Going to Nigeria with the VOOM Foundation specifically, is a medical mission trip that has become my favorite and by far the most rewarding and humbling of all. I have been in hospitals with no stable power supply, where you have to hand crank more than ever, no timers for cardioplegia, or sufficient drugs.
During my previous missions in Nigeria, I learned how to truly work with what is available and deal with emergencies not experienced in the U.S.
By going on missions one realizes how blessed they truly are. VOOM Foundation has been in Nigeria since 2013, performing open-heart surgery programs, an ultimate goal of creating a sustainable open-heart program in the country. I can't wait to be a part of the team and assist the people in need. I hope you consider supporting my journey!
