Rhema Ajimotokin - Open Heart Medical Mission
November Medical Mission

As the granddaughter of a physician who dedicated his life to caring for his patients in his hospital in Nigeria - it would be a privilege to continue his legacy in Nigeria by helping those in need. Despite the immense amount of love I have for my country, I am well aware of the issues within the healthcare system. It is a human right to have access to affordable, safe, and effective healthcare.
Nigeria is a country of 200M and currently has no sustainable open-heart program for children. With almost 50% of the country in poverty and unable to travel outside the country for surgery, children are left with no option for care and extremely vulnerable.
VOOM has been in Nigeria since 2013 performing open-heart surgery programs with an ultimate goal of a sustainable open-heart program for the country.
I would love for you to consider supporting my efforts as I join the VOOM team on fulfilling their mission, which is to advance the quality of healthcare in the 6th most populated country in the world.
