Last Cast: @ 2:30 PM

All contestants must follow the rules of the Texas Parks and Wildlife State of Texas rules in this tournament. Polygraph exams can be requested to any contestant/team. Tournament Director decides all rule disputes or violations. Any protest must be submitted in writing before the scales close. Email to [email protected]. Any contestant observing rules violation must report violation immediately.
ELIGIBILITY:
Angler(s) with valid TP&W TX fishing license.
A team with consist of two anglers with at least one 18 years of age.
No non-contestants may be in the boat during competition hours.
A single angler may compete with the other teams but registration fee and rules still apply.
OFF LIMITS:
No contestant(s) may enter Lake Whitney waters from October 3-6.
No information may be
received or bought during off limits period.
OFFICIAL PRACTICE DAY: October 7th.
Must be pre-registered BY October 7th to participate in the official practice day. Non-practice
contestants may enter the tournament, but must adhere to restrictions listed.
TRAILER TOURNAMENT:
Due to the quantity of expected participants and safety concerns, the BARK Team Tournament will allow trailering from any public ramp accessible to Lake Whitney. Contestants may not leave lake Whitney ramp before 6 AM on October 8.
First cast is 7 AM and last cast is 2:30 PM.
Must be in line at McCown Valley Park scales by
3 PM.
Please consider water temperatures and fish health keeping live wells aerated and fish
replenishment solution active. There will be 1 pound penalty for any dead weighed fish.
Any short fish brought to scales will receive a one pound penalty.
SCORING of FISH:
Teams may weigh in 5 Bass (large mouth, small mouth, Kentucky spotted).
Each must measure 14” mouth closed tail pinched.
One pound penalty for weighing a dead fish.
No culling of dead fish allowed!
After 6th scorable bass, one bass must be culled to keep stringer to 5.
Scales Open at 1:00PM. LAST CAST is 2:30PM. Must be in line by 3:00PM.
SPORTSMANSHIP/SAFETY:
- All contestants are expected and must follow TP&W safety rules including life jackets
while boat engine is in use with kill switch. - Contestants may not fish within 25 yards of another contestant except to navigate round.
- Hole sitting by non contestants is prohibited.
- Please treat everyone on the lake with upmost courtesy and respect as you a patron of BARK
and we are here to SAVE dogs! - Should weather force contestants to cover, fishing must cease until its safe to return to boat.
PERMITTED FISHING METHOD:
All bass must be caught on artificial lures with each cast completed before next cast can be
made.
Contestants must land fish in sporting manor and may not get out of the boat to access new
water.
Landing nets are permitted.
No trolling or long lining allowed.
REGISTRATION:
Teams must be registered before the official practice date of October 7th. If you are not practicing
then can register ONLINE by 6 AM Saturday October 8. To register click this link:

Teams can pre-register online.
All entry fees are tax deductible. Your registration confirmation sent via email is your tax
deductible receipt. No boat numbers are needed. Your team will be identified by Team last
name(s).
WINNINGS:
All winnings are paid the day of event.
By IRS law, a completed W9 for each winner is required to receive payment.
For your convenience, we will provide the forms on site.
