Crockpot's Veterinary Bills
Rescued from a County Shelter Hurt and Needing an Amputation
Crockpot arrived at Adoption First from a county shelter after they contacted us because it was apparent he would need care beyond what they could provide. After being throughly examined by the Adoption First Veterinarian team, poor Crockpot was found to have something severely wrong with his back leg muscle, rendering him unable to use it properly. To avoid further damage and pain for this brave little guy, his leg was amputated and he has begun the long recovery process. Thanks to our amazing volunteers, Crockpot is in the care of a skilled foster to ensure the best outcome and healing. Of course intense medical cases like this require funding and we are asking for donations to offset the cost of Crockpot's care so that we can continue to help, not only him, but the countless precious little angels that continue to need love, support and specialized care. The full cost of Crockpot's amputation surgery was $400 and we are hoping to raise at least that for him. Please know that every little bit helps and is appreciated more than words can say. We are excited to see Crockpot's continued healing and what his future holds for him. We have already invested in a pair of shades, because there is no doubt that it's going to be bright!
