All components of the 8-week, 26-hour training must be completed
to receive certification attendance/participation for this training to satisfy
certification with MtMA.
The Bonus Materials are yours to enjoy on your own time, after
the primary course with the basic six-month access.
The detailed weekly course agenda spanning the eight weeks is
available for viewing at this link. Detailed Weekly Agenda
The agenda is designed to assist in the steady progression of the course with
respect to online discussion and in-person sessions. It is expected an average weekly
time commitment will include 2 hours of video content and at approximately 1
hour of online training or in-person training.
VIDEO content is produced and presented by James
Melamed of Mediate.Com and available to each student to view on their own. Each
video section contains a component that each student will utilize to prove that
the video was viewed, along with extensive outline and curriculum. It is
expected that each student will spend approximately 2 hours each week involved
with video content all in preparation for discussion participation and
role-playing.
DISCUSSIONS will utilize a forum such as
WordPress, so that a topic will be presented for discussion, allowing each
student to participate fully (posting and replying to others) in the
discussion.
All ZOOM DISCUSSIONS are conducted Saturdays. Zoom discussions and
role-play will occur June 11, June 18, July 9, July 16, and July 23. [A bye
week exists for Independence Day].
The July 9 Negotiation Role-Play Workshop on July 9 allows for
building stronger interest-digging skills and networking.
FULL ATTENDANCE POLICY: Failure to participate in
minimum video viewing and facet of training adversely affects committed
participants’ efforts to obtain practical experience and certification. The
format nature of this course allows great flexibility of time throughout a
given week. Therefore, any student failing to participate in any viewing of
required video, discussion, and/or role play (either in person or by Zoom on
scheduled Saturdays) will risk loss of ability to obtain certificate of
attendance for Montana Mediation Association’s additional family mediator
certification.
