Ukrainian Refugee Assistance
Supporting Refugee Relief Programs in Poland
More than 6.3 million refugees have fled Ukraine
500 of these refugees, all women and children, are being cared for by a small charity called
"Poland Welcomes".
Here is how you can help.
Poland Welcomes provides:
- Food and clothing
- Housing
- Medical assistance and vital services
After visiting the Poland Welcomes in April and May, we were able to see both the "needs" of the women and children along with the "caring" provided by the Polish and international volunteers at Poland Welcomes. Returning from those trips, we felt the need to assist in providing "hope for the future" by soliciting financial contributions for the continued operations of Poland Welcomes. Your generous contributions here on THIS WEB PAGE will provide assistance to Poland Welcomes AND ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE as stated below.
Poland Welcomes was started informally immediately the day after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022 by caring and considerate Polish citizens and volunteers. The charity was officially registered on March 16, 2022 with Polish authorities and has received coverage on CNN, BBC World and SkyNews. Poland Welcomes is currently providing care for 500 women and children at six locations in and around Jaroslaw, Poland. With additional funding they have space to double capacity up to 1,100 refugees. Here are links to more information on Poland Welcomes.
