Haitian Flag Day PA 2021 Virtual 5K Run/Walk

Registration for our Haitian Flag Day PA 2021 Virtual 5K/Walk opens on Sunday, April 18, 2021. This event is organized by the Haitian Literacy Project of Philadelphia (HLP). 

Haitian Flag Day is on May 18th. It is a Haitian holiday to celebrate the creation of the Flag of Haiti and the most successful, powerful, self-liberating, slave rebellion against the French called the Haitian Revolution. 

Join us in celebration of Haitian Flag Day.

All proceeds and donations help support programs at the Haitian Literacy Project of Philadelphia. 

Haitian Literacy Project of Philadelphia is a nonprofit project of FNC Philly. HLP provides literacy programs to Haitian People. Our mission & our priority is to increase the educational and professional capacity of the Haitian Community in Philadelphia.

How it will work:

Throughout the week of May 16, 2021 through May 22, 2021, participants may run or walk the 5K on their own time. Once you have completed your 5K, send in a photo of yourself to HLP’s Facebook page @haitianliteracyphilly to show us you have completed your race!

Due to health and safety guidelines made necessary by COVID-19, runners/ walkers will have the opportunity to do the event virtually- ANYTIME between May 16-May 22, 2021. Pick your own course. 

Registration includes a finisher medal mailed directly to you. Register soon to receive your medal by Race Week.
