Emergency Medical Care for Benji
Benji was rushed to the vet!
June 22, 2022
WE NEED YOUR HELP TLP Family,
Sweet Benji weighs just 26 pounds! He was so scared upon arriving at the shelter that he didn’t want to eat or drink anything. When we saw this poor boy, we knew he needed out of the shelter. So, on Tuesday, our teams coordinated to transport him straight from the shelter to our vet partner for a full prognosis. Despite being little more than skin and bones and reeking of urine, his transporter described him as the sweetest boy who just seemed grateful to be out of the noisy shelter.
We don’t know much about Benji besides his need to gain weight. He will receive a full work-up at the vet so we can assess the best next steps for his recovery. To support Benji, you can donate to his medical expenses or purchase things like food, treats, and NutriCal paste from his wishlist to help with his weight gain. Let’s change this boy’s life for the better!

Benji is filling out! July 25, 2022
Benji came to TLP emaciated, weighing just 26 pounds! He was so scared at the shelter that he didn’t want to eat or drink. Despite being little more than skin and bones, he was the sweetest boy from the moment he came under our care. After a few weeks of recovery and lots of TLC, Benji is looking better than ever!
While at first he was scared to be outside and barely made a sound, his foster says he now loves to play with toys and get lots of attention from the neighborhood kids. He’s gained enough weight to be considered healthy for his age and looks more like the dog he was always meant to be. His foster says some of his favorite items are Kongs and puzzle toys, which were generously donated from his Cuddly wishlist.
Benji is still searching for his forever home. If you’re interested in adopting Benji, you can visit our website to apply. If you’d like to continue to support Benji throughout his time in foster care, you can donate or purchase items from his wishlist. He really loves toys!
