Goosefoot Community Farm is an acre and a half certified organic vegetable farm in Chimacum, Washington. One hundred percent of the food we grow is distributed for free. Our collective formed as a response to the high rates of food insecurity in our county.
Our mission is to distribute high-quality, nutritious, organic produce through local partnerships to increase accessibility for all people regardless of employment status, housing situation, income level, sexual orientation, gender, race, age, or ability.
Goosefoot Community Farm was established in 2019. In our first year, we grew 3,000 pounds of produce, all distributed for free. Since then, our collective has rapidly grown with the support of our community, and we have distributed over 43,500 pounds of produce to date.
We currently have four distribution partnerships:
Jefferson Healthcare Oncology Department, where patients receive a weekly share of our produce
Jefferson County Anti-Racist Fund, which provides a free weekly vegetable box open to any Black, Indigenous or People of Color in Jefferson County, regardless of income,
The Recovery Cafe, a drug- and alcohol-free space which uses our veggies to provide free meals for people in any stage of addiction recovery,
The Tri-Area Food Bank, which serves 130 individuals and families each week.
We strive to ensure that no one goes hungry, and our work is not possible without the generous support from community members like you! Help us sustain this vital work by donating today:
