Currently, Lyzette is touring with TRAUMA, TRESSES, & TRUTH: Untangling Our Hair Through Personal Narratives, an essay collection interrogating the perception, policing, persecution, and politics of Afro Latina and African American women's natural hair in American society. Library Journal has named the title one of the Top 10 Best Social Science Books of 2022.
