The Barn will be giving interested students a chance to participate in our very first robotics program!
Using the fundamentals of STEAM, participants will go through the step by step process to solve problems, create solutions, learn and execute programming, and sometimes compete with each other. Meetings will be every Tuesday at 6-8pm for 14 weeks starting on December 13th. Three members of the High School Robotics Team will be mentoring and supporting everyone through the process. The program we will be following will be the VEX IQ educational kit (*info below) and we will be hosting an informational meeting on Tuesday, November 15th, at 6pm.
Recommended for students in 6th through 8th grade
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE. Please email [email protected] to make arrangements.
*VEX robots help students unlock the power of their imagination by designing and constructing remote-controlled robotic devices that can lift, throw, climb, gather and expand the boundaries of experimental intelligence. The system gives young people a fun, new way to learn about STEM subjects. By working together to create robots that perform exciting challenges, they also gain valuable problem-solving and team-building skills.
