Ariel, age 4, was recently diagnosed with CLN2 Batten Disease and there is no cure. It is a rare and devastating neurodegenerative disease. She is experiencing regression of language and motor skills. She is receiving infusions and enzyme replacement treatment. Her medications and medical equipment are very important for her to have, but they are very expensive and insurance does not cover them. Mitchell Thorp Foundation has granted the family assistance under the Medical & Home Assistance Program and Rehabilitation Program.
