Uniting For Housing Justice
Your support is greatly appreciated! Thanks to donors like you, Making Housing and Community Happen is addressing the housing crisis and making a difference,
As we complete our fourth year as a nonprofit and look forward to our annual celebration at the First United Methodist Church of Pasadena on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 2:30-4:00 pm, we have lots to celebrate, such as our Safe Parking program, launching the San Gabriel Valley Community Land Trust, successfully rezoning religious land for affordable housing in Pasadena, and having 69 churches in So Cal seek our advisement for having affordable housing built on their land.
Our goal is not only to ensure that affordable housing gets built, but also to build what Dr. King calls the Beloved Community. That's why we call our nonprofit "Making Housing and Community Happen." The theme of this year’s celebration, "Uniting for Housing Justice," is about the partners we work with, such as LA Voice, the Pasadena Tenants Union, Foothill Unity Center, the Clergy Community Coalition, the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, the Pasadena Affordable Housing Coalition, and more.
We can't do our work without our partners, and without your support. Please donate whatever you can afford. All donations are greatly appreciated.
You are warmly invited to join us for our annual celebration on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the First United Methodist Church of Pasadena (500 E Colorado Blvd). We will be honoring affordable housing rock stars like Councilwoman Jess Rivas and our high school intern Brendan Poon and others. There will also be live music and refreshments during this time of fun and fellowship.
Individuals or organizations can be sponsors of our Annual Celebration. The name, logo/picture and words of support of sponsors will be place on our website, program booklet and tribute PowerPoint that will be shown at our event. Please let us know your preferred level of sponsorship:
