Help Bountiful Cities Build Long Term Food Security!
Our programs reach thousands of people in our community each year, with hands on education, tools, seeds, and resources. We work with neighborhoods to find permanent garden-based solutions for food insecurity through collaboration, education, policy advocacy, and in direct support of the communities most affected by issues of inequity.
These photos are stories of how we grow long-term food security. Shaniqua Simuel, creator of Change Your Palate teaches whole foods cooking for the Collaborative Apprenticeship Program, FEAST students learn how to plant, and care for garden vegetables, seedlings grow in our Windfall Collective Nursery for community gardens, and Community Garden Network workshop participants learn to build a CO2 Composting System.
Bountiful Cities programs for adults and kids focus on long-term food security, meaning we supply tools education and support for communities to grow their own fresh food supplies. Skills last a lifetime, and we want everyone to be able to thrive.
Community support is how FEAST classes and Community Garden Network workshops can remain free to participants. Community support enables our Collaborative Apprenticeship Program to pay participants a living wage while they develop skills to prepare them for employment opportunities in local food systems. Community support helps our Windfall Collective Nursery provide plants and seeds to all these initiatives and more.
