What is Scleroderma?
Scleroderma is a rare autoimmune disease that causes a hardening of the connective tissue. This disease impacts patients in various ways, many of which are painful and debilitating. If internal organs are involved, scleroderma can also be life-threatening.
About Project Scleroderma
Project Scleroderma is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the global level of awareness for a rare autoimmune disease called scleroderma.
After losing her mother to scleroderma in 2009 founder Christy McCaffrey was inspired to create an organization that would focus primarily on finding new and creative ways of raising the global level of awareness of scleroderma. Project Scleroderma uses documentary-style videos and films as a vehicle for awareness, highlighting the stories of those who suffer from the illness and working to continually garner more attention for the cause.
Project Scleroderma’s most recent project, “Run Greg Run”, is a feature-length documentary film that is currently being screened on the film festival circuit with an intended release to streaming platforms by summer/fall of 2023. “Run Greg Run” was nominated for the Humanitarian Award at the DOCUTAH International Film Festival in November 2022 and was a finalist for Best Documentary as part of the New York International Film Awards in January 2023.
Community Partners
Donor support and community partnerships are vitally important to Project Scleroderma’s ongoing mission and our ability to reach as many people as possible with our awareness efforts. A lack of awareness for this disease means that the lifesaving research being done to find a cure does not get the support it truly needs and therefore patients continue to suffer.
With your help, we can amplify the voices of those who are suffering from scleroderma and significantly increase the level of support for research. Our videos give patients a platform to be seen, heard, and validated in their struggle while also educating and inspiring support of life saving research.
As a member of our Community Partner Program your company's annual donation will secure the placement of your logo on our website for 12 months, as well as secure placement of your logo at the end of every video we produce for our Project Scleroderma YouTube Channel within that 12-month period. Please keep in mind that this donation is 100% tax deductible!
All funds donated to this program will help to support our ongoing mission to spread awareness as far and as wide as possible. We sincerely appreciate your consideration of becoming a Project Scleroderma Community Partner, and we truly value your desire to make an impact.
