January Letter!
Dear Friend,
As you probably understand, I
write these letters a few days in advance. By the time we get them to the
printer and the mail service, it takes a few days. So, as I write this, I am
also preparing for our Annual Community Christmas Dinner! The last month or so you
have seen us not only take care of those we shelter at the mission, but also
help with the Budgetel disaster, our Community Thanksgiving Dinner, and our
Community Christmas Dinner.
Needless to say, I’m tired.
Praise God when I am weak, He is strong! I can’t help but think of what Paul said in 2
Corinthians chapter 4 “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we
are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but
not destroyed;”. Somedays I feel
troubled, perplexed, persecuted, and cast down… much like our clients do. But
God always provides. That’s the message we want to share with those we minister
to.
No matter where you are or
what you are experiencing, there is Hope! When you give to support the Union
Gospel Mission, your investment provides hope for the future. We believe big
things are in store for us in 2023 and we would greatly appreciate your
financial partnership with us.
Your gift helps us continue "Meeting Needs, Making Change, and
Magnifying Christ!"
Serving Christ and the Community,
Rev.
Executive Director
P.S. Won’t you
prayerfully consider sending a substantial gift as soon as possible!
