Scott Walck, Ph.D.
is Dancing for the Arts!

Dr. Scott Walck is a Senior Scientist with his major sponsor SURVICE Engineering Company of Belcamp.
Here's why he's dancing for the arts:
Although I'm a scientist, my liberal arts undergraduate education exposed me to the value of art, literature, and music. I enjoy being transported in time and space while being told tales of mystery, adventure, and triumph over travails by the works of authors. I enjoy works of artists, sculptors, and photographers that capture the beauty of nature that I see while sailing or watching a beautiful sunset or captivating rainbow.
In my work, I use electron microscopes and see the beauty of nature almost daily at a level that few people know. It has made me visually oriented and susceptible to being impacted emotionally by visual works. I enjoy being uplifted by musicand inspired by the lyrics ofmusicians and composers. And I appreciate the effort and sacrifice that artists make to improve their craft.
And...oh...did I mention that I like to dance?
The Dancing for the Arts Gala is the largest annual fundraiser to support the cultural events programs and general operations of the Maryland Center for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (FEIN 20-3022352) whose mission is to provide a broad range of creative and collaborative experiences in quality education, presentations, and exhibits in all disciplines of the arts; and to build and operate a visual and performing arts center for the region to have greater access to quality spaces to exhibit, present, and participate in the arts.

Thank you for supporting the arts in our region! When you give to the arts, the arts give back.
