Here's why she's dancing for the arts:
I've seen firsthand the incredible impact that the arts can have on a person. From the time my mother took me to see my first Broadway show (Cats, when I was 6), I fell in love with the arts. Music, dance, live theater, visual arts, photography - every medium has the innate ability to inspire us, move us, dare us to dream of endless possibilities, or serve as an escape from the stresses of life. The arts helped shape the person I am today and even saved my life - a chance performance that kept me out of a terrible accident. If the arts can have that much impact on a single person, imagine what they can do for the next generation. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to share my love for the artistic community and help the Maryland Center for the Arts spread this mission!
The Dancing for the Arts Gala is the largest annual fundraiser to support the cultural events programs and general operations of the Maryland Center for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (FEIN 20-3022352) whose mission is to provide a broad range of creative and collaborative experiences in quality education, presentations, and exhibits in all disciplines of the arts; and to build and operate a visual and performing arts center for the region to have greater access to quality spaces to exhibit, present, and participate in the arts.

Thank you for supporting the arts in our region! When you give to the arts, the arts give back.
