Last year during my run for elected office, I spoke with many community residents on the campaign trail who wanted to see a vibrant Center for the Arts in Bel Air. Their comments supporting this project were powerful and have motivated me to make this a reality for all of us! I will be putting my two left feet out there to participate in this year’s Dancing for the Arts fundraising event. The Dancing for the Arts Gala is the largest annual fundraiser to support the cultural events programs and general operations of the Maryland Center for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (FEIN 20-3022352) whose mission is to provide a broad range of creative and collaborative experiences in quality education, presentations, and exhibits in all disciplines of the arts; and to build and operate a visual and performing arts center for the region to have greater access to quality spaces to exhibit, present, and participate in the arts.
